As a family we are wild about nature and we find joy in bringing nature into our lives through our art. Heartwood Handcrafts springs from a desire to share our work beyond our family (and a desire to fund new toys from the craft store).

A native Floridian, Tony grew up spending plenty of time getting into the natural beauty of South Florida. Camping, hiking, and just playing outdoors were mainstays of his adolescence. Passion for the natural beauty of wood as a reflection of God’s creation permeates his work as he turns beautiful pens, bowls, and other work on the lathe.

Lena grew up exploring the beauty of the country from coast to coast. Family adventures like camping, hiking (ambling along while looking at mushrooms and pinecones), and just staring at clouds all inspire the art that spills from her fingers. You’ll find photographs, paintings, and even occasionally some embroidery or other fabric crafts coming from her studio.

Gabriel enjoys manga, video games, martial arts, and getting outdoors and into nature. We may feature him as a guest artist from time to time.
